Tideswell Community Players was formed in 1929, with its first production, Ambrose Applejohn's Adventure by Walter Hackett, being performed in 1930.
Since then TCP have been performing and entering festivals every year (with a few exceptions). Over 200 shows have been put on and hundreds have taken part over the years.
Still going strong, TCP now also organise Tideswell Theatre, aiming to bring some of the best touring theatre, music and dance to the village.
